Medical Detox

Medical Detox for Drug and Alcohol Addiction

Our Medical Detoxification Program ranges in length from as little as 3 to 5 days on up to as long as 10 to 14 days; it ultimately depends upon the client’s specific needs and level of chemical dependency prior to intake at our Mission Viejo, CA facility.

Our medically monitored inpatient drug & alcohol detox program is based on an initial diagnosis and plan developed on day-on between the physician and the client. The medical drug detox plan or medical alcohol detox plan can involve a variety of elements such as; medication, supplements, special diet, etc. The intent is to help the client gradually withdraw from their alcohol and/or drug dependence within a safe, controlled environment. Those most commonly in need of a medical detox regimen typically experience dependence to any of the following.

  • Alcohol
  • Heroin
  • Narcotic/Opiate Painkillers (Vicodin, Oxycontin, Percocet, etc)
  • Benzodiazepines (Valium, Xanax, etc)
  • Methadone

The list above does not entail the entire array of drugs typically requiring medical drug detox or medical alcohol detox, however these are the most common.
